From what I've seen of this Tarheel's team, the offense is improving with their new coach. The defense lost a lot of players, to the NFL, and are giving up a lot of points. I was at Carter-Finley stadium (Raleigh), a couple of weeks ago, when the Cav's took it to the NC State Wolfpack.
I would say that UNC and their NC State rivals are pretty close to even, even though UNC beat them (by 8) after a last minute punt return and a 2-point conversion. Why they went for 2, I can't explain, unless they just wanted to rub it in.
How that factors into tonight's game, I don't know. Virginia seems to have the better defense and UNC seems to have the better offense. So, I guess it's strength against strength. It's just hard to give points, especially on the road, against anyone when your defense is not good.

Well, I guess I shouldn't call defense UVA's strength.
